Love for a ChiPoo

Throughout my childhood, I have always grown up with a dog in my life.  All the way through high school and into college.  I have always been an animal lover and have a unique talent communicating, raising, playing and working with dogs.  Dogs in general have my heart and I have never met a dog that I didn’t like or didn’t like me.  Once in college and on my own, my venture started when I purchased a Boston Terrier.  I had him throughout college and into adulthood and when I started a family of my own.  We were still a young family and moving around a lot and as a renter we always had a hard time finding places that allowed dogs.  I was forced to give away my Boston and was devastated; from that moment, I vowed never to own another dog again until I had my own house and didn’t have to answer to anyone.

Eleven years past, after marriage and two children, we were introduced into the world of service dogs.  I started becoming interested in adopting a ChiPoo and possibly becoming a foster home for a local Chihuahua and Poodle Rescue home.  I have been interested in the ChiPoo breed since my Boston Terrier days.  After much research, I adopted my first ChiPoo, Parker.  Parker and I had a unique bond and we were inseparable.  He was a beautiful full brindle boy with the funniest sweetest personality.  Parker was 3 years old when I adopted him.  He was my life.  After we adopted him, my family and I continued working with the rescue and fostered several Chihuahuas and Poodles that needed a home.  We raised them and trained them until they were ready for their forever homes.  Parker showed these dogs the ropes and played a large part of their readiness for their home placement.

Since then we purchased a female ChiPoo pup for my wife, and then a year later our first female ChiPoo for our daughter whom also shares the love for dogs that I have.  My baby boy Parker played a big role and a big brother to these pups and helped play with them and mold them into the beautiful females they are today.
One tragic day, while out of town at work, Parker unexpectedly had a series of seizures and was unable to recover, my wife had to take him to the emergency vet where they tried to help him but were unsuccessful and he ultimately had to be put to sleep.  He was only 8 years old. Again, Parker was my life and I felt as if my heart was torn out when he passed.
My love for Parker and the ChiPoo breed is unlike anything in this world.
I often wondered what Parker was like as a puppy and wished he wasn’t neutered so he could have been bred.  I wanted another brindle male, but this time a pup so I can breed him with our beautiful female.  So, this became my goal; to find a male so beautiful and so unique, that I can raise him, train him, breed him and have champion quality ChiPoos.  This is how ChiPoo Fosters was started.
